Welcoming the fall...
Yesterday, I started pulling out the Halloween and fall decor...and putting things away from summer. I love the transition between seasons, because fall approaching means that Christmas is right around the corner!
So looking forward to taking Thomas to a pumpkin patch, making a ton of homemade applesauce and some pumpkin pies, and getting ready for the rainy fall. The Apple Festival continues into October at Lattin's Cider Mill and it's always perfect to help you get into the fall mood.
We're having a 'scary movie month' with Kevin and Heidi...I can't tell if we're brilliant or insane. Being out on the farm, it's very easy to freak yourself out if you let your mind play tricks on you. We started with "The Grudge" tonight. Insanely scary, especially since there's a little boy who begins appearing everywhere in the film, and leaving little footprints running away even though he's long since passed away. Just as we're watching that part, Jonathan happens to notice little handprints all over the window from Thomas. Then Maggie's moving outside on the deck, and on and on. And everyone's screaming as the Wee Ski sleeps right through it. It's honestly the first time I've watched scary movies since moving out here. It was awesome.
Never mind that I kept all the lights on in the house for the rest of the night.
