Small Successes • Vol. 2

My second weekly edition of Small Successes for moms (hosted over at Faith and Family Live)...

  1. For the last few days, I've been focused on not multi-tasking. Doing one thing at a time. Focusing wholly on what I'm doing at that present moment. For the most part, that has revolved around Thomas...and it's given me these fantastic little moments with him that I would not have had otherwise.
  2. I've kept the dishwasher empty and counters clear for two days in a row. Not that I don't love my counters overflowing with tangerine Fiestaware...but there comes a time to just. say. no. more. dirty. dishes.
  3. I said "no" more this week to extra outings and scheduling that I couldn't handle...knowing that I needed to focus on Thomas and his six-week growth spurt, as well as preparing for a Relay For Life training this weekend (my first in several months, due to Thomas's arrival). The world didn't cave in and I was able to keep up with the extra nursing that he's wanting as he's growing (every 1 1/2 - 2 hours during the day). And we're nearly ready to leave for Seattle tomorrow!

And one of those 'fantastic little moments' with Thomas, who turned six weeks old today. The image was shot by my husband as he woke up from a nap with the tiny mister...
