Sweet Wednesdays...

...how much do I love the Wednesday before Thanksgiving?

A holiday off tomorrow, time with family, a short market day on Friday (where my commute is half as long as the market is open), and getting ready for Christmas. All of my favorite things.

Looking forward to tomorrow at Mom and Dad's (see our visual above from last year's celebration) with the fam and some good friends...busy this afternoon and tonight in the kitchen to get ready for the weekend ahead.

Goodies that are finished...

• Roasted broccoli with lemon • dinner tonight - yum!
• Garlic mashed potatoes • Thanksgiving dinner
• Sweet potatoes with marshmallows • Thanksgiving dinner
• Slow cooker steak chili • for those nights in December that I'm not feeling like cooking

Goodies still to go (in the next few days)...

• Sausage cheese balls • for this weekend and the tree shindig next weekend
• Rosemary bread • for chili on Sunday
• English scones • though I'm not sure which kind yet
• Buckeye bars • for the shindig next weekend
• And the best...a 'fried' turkey using the Big Easy Infrared Turkey Fryer • as a test run for Christmas dinner.
