of northwestern hurricanes and chicken legs

my first long commute to rainier. an hour and a half. no accidents, just heavy, heavy rain and an average speed of about 25. the windshield above on 16...as we waited to get onto 5.

and viper...below in her doggy lookout carseat...she enjoyed the rain as much as she enjoys the car wash...

my best surprise?

the douglas firs had started to be sheared in front of the house...and it smelled just like christmas. fresh christmas trees and wet outdoors. it was christmas.

so much so that i could almost hear clark saying, "where do you think you're going? nobody's leaving. nobody's walking out on this fun, old-fashioned family christmas. No, no. we're all in this together. this is a full-blown, four-alarm holiday emergency here. we're gonna press on, and we're gonna have the hap, hap, happiest christmas since bing crosby tap-danced with..."

you know the rest. :)

doesn't the left side of the path look like christmas?!?

around the farm...the happy sleeping gnome from a few posts back

the needles full of rain

jonathan re-enacting my #1 run down the driveway...

and the reason for the post title?

viper's wet chicken legs. :)

That is the weirdest looking gnome I have ever seen. What is that, a tumor?
