a life worth living

the nellie movie.

created from the life of john "nellie" nelson, assistant football coach at pacific lutheran university. it's won the crystal heart award at the heartland film festival, best short documentary at the international family film festival, and the grand jury award at the new york independent film and video festival.

the photo above is of brian and nellie and it's one of my favorites that i've taken of the two of them. it was taken at a breakaway with the football team, a few years back.

in the film, you'll hear the voices and stories of many of the plu football emals (every man a lute), including my little brother mike, as they share their life experiences with nellie. it's a beautiful short film, that's definitely worth the time to watch.

and it's going to be on national tv, for the first time! it's not quite prime time (sunday, february 26th, 7:30 am for the peeps near seattle), but it is worth finding on your local channel if you're not by here. why not DVR/tivo it? :)

don't miss it!
