It's time to Relay!

The back of our Relay team tee for 2009.

Among those the Skis personally celebrate this year...yea!!
  • Kay Bottenfield - my grandma
  • Rich Brown - of our second family, the Brownrices
  • Kathleen Devin - a longtime friend of Jonathan's, and fire commissioner with him
  • Candice Iverson - a longtime friend of mine
  • Tony Marino and Janet Marino - parents of my 'sisters'
  • Garry Naipo - of Jonathan's Hawaiian family
  • Doreen and Rick Schmitt - Our Relay friends who are both fighting cancer
  • Frankie Shepherd - a longtime friend of Jonathan's mom, Grandma Ski
  • David Stickland - the current Team D chair and a groomsman in our wedding

And this year, unfortunately, more names were added to the list of those we remember...

  • Audrey Basques - of Jonathan's Hawaiian family
  • Corazon "Mama G" Gatbunton - my angel
  • Jan Halliday - from Jonathan's years at St. Martin's
  • Monica Lyons - my longtime friend, confirmation sponsor, and mom to Robin
  • John Moller - the reason our Team Merrill began in 2004
  • Bill Roberts - Jonathan's uncle
  • Mary Sprouffske ♥ Jonathan's mom, my mother-in-law, and Thomas's grandma

Opening ceremonies and the Survivor Lap begin at 6 pm, with luminaria beginning at 10 pm. If you are in the area, come out and join us at Black Hills High School! You can get directions here, We're at tent site #24.

We are just a few dollars away from our $5000 goal as a if you would like the chance to fight back with us, we are still accepting donations! Click here!

Our team will again be selling lap beads. Chuck will be on the grill at our tent site whipping up fajitas, omelets, and other yummy goodies. Together, we are shooting to be the top team at the Relay For Life of Thurston County - to fight back against a disease that's taken too much!

Oh, and, contrary to what our son might think...there's no sleeping at the 24 hour Relay For Life!
