12 of 12: The Edition that Proves Our Lives Revolve Around Animals and the Wee Ski

...because I evidently like really long blog post titles.

This month's edition of the 12 of 12. You can find all the other peeps throughout the world who take 12 photos of their day (today, on May 12th) to post them online here.

Snippets of my day.

Which begins each morning at 4 am.

4:44 am • Prepping four-month-old Thomas's beverage of choice for the day
(the milk in the Medela bottles :) )

9:45 am • Lunch, early.
Hating that I did not pack enough to last me through the day today. But this chicken and brownrice was yummy.

4:04 pm • Almost home!
I love rounding the last corner on the road to our home, and seeing the baby Douglas firs in the yard. Almost there!

4:30 pm • Grumpypants
Still recovering from his vaccinations yesterday. He slept like a champ last night...8.5 hours in a row! 12.5 hours total! He's feeling better, and Grammy Sandy took great care of him today.

5:08 pm • Three Hot Chicks from my husband
As he gave me the box, he said, "Whenever you give a gift to someone else, it should be something you would want too. Here are three chicks." He named them Peanut, Butter, and Jelly. So he can sing that incredibly annoying-once-it-gets-in-your-head song "It's Peanut Butter Jelly Time!" whenever he wants. More on the chickens later. Happy Mother's Day to me!

5:12 pm • Other Uses for a Baby Boppy
Dog Boppy.

5:50 pm • The Naturopath Vet
She is awesome. She came to check out Maggie's skin and see if we can restore her to her previous status of fluffiness known as the dog that looks like a Polar Bear + Raccoon. And Dr. Preston makes house calls. And she has two Scotties in the van (Jackie, eat your heart out!).

6:15 pm • Happy Happy Joy Joy on the Jumparoo

7:02 pm • The Wee Ski goes to bed
I call this my "Wilson" photo. On a separate note, to prove a point that how you read a story is more important than what is said, Jonathan read this same book to the Wee Ski last night. Except he pointed at the pictures and told the story of how our new chickens came to be instead of how the animals in the book go to sleep. It was hysterical. Maybe you had to be there. But that is why I married him, because our humor matches. It may not be pretty at times, but we speak the same jacked up Sprouffskesean.

7:20 pm • Maggie taking in the fields

7:50 pm • The lilac tree

8:05 pm • The landscaping in front
It's so much cleaner and defined. There are flowerbeds now! Yea! Someday, there will be beautiful grass that rivals Safeco Field. But that will probably be when Thomas is old enough to mow it himself. :)

Yay for 8.5 hours of sleep in a row! That feeling is great isn't it?

P.S. How much do you love the Jumperoo? In my opinion I think that is the best investment we made for Joey when he was still tiny. He would jump in it for hours until he fell asleep.

The photo of the little dog in the Boppy is precious!!

I'm groaning a little at the gift of the three chicks, tho :)

At least Maggie has her summer coat on! There's plenty of time for polar bear later ... and polar bear shedding, I imagine.

Nice 12!

I love the chicks photo! And cute names ;-)

Sorry for being late commenting - May was crazy busy for me (even my 12 of 12 was 3 days late!)
