Shameless plugs

The Wee Ski and I are snuggled up on the couch together...comforting him through his first cold.

It started last night, when he started getting congested, and it peaked around 3 am. We woke up to his labored breathing and you couldn't do anything but hold him until he calmed down.

And for my shameless plugs of the day...
  • I am blessed with 3 fabulous photography clients who all rescheduled their shoots today to keep Thomas's germies from spreading about.
  • And so blessed by Grammy Brownrice, who was going to take care of Thomas all day while I was shooting because Papa is out of town.
  • Healthy Future Pediatrics - Not only are they open on Saturday mornings, but they return calls within 15 minutes. The nurse walked me through the list of things to watch out for, and gave me a recipe for a saline solution which worked wonders to help clear up his nose.
  • The Temporal Artery Thermometer - I love this thing. I found it at Costco a few weeks ago, after remembering how well it worked in the hospital. I love that I can take his temperature while he's sleeping, and how accurate it is. Just scan his forehead and his temperature appears on the screen.
  • The American Red Cross Deluxe Healthcare Kit - It's worth it just for the itty bitty nail clippers alone. They have a sweet magnifying glass which is a big help when trimming his itty bitty nails. Today, I also used the soft tip dispenser for his saline drops, and they worked like a charm.

We are taking it easy today.
