Herb-ilicious
I planted a little herb garden today.
My big hope is to have a garden someday (hopefully, next year)...with spinach, tomatoes, peas, berries, and broccoli.
My green thumb has historically been more the 'black thumb of death', so this is my foray into maintaining plants that I can use throughout the year.
The Wee Ski and I headed to Gordon's the other day in Yelm. They were so much help, and got us off to a good start. I found Italian oregano, thyme, rosemary, chocolate mint, and sweet basil. Using pots that I had at my house in Tacoma, I transplanted them and got them onto the deck. The basil was moved inside until the frosts are past.
The Brownrices will be so proud. :)
Mags wasn't quite sure what to think. She and Viper kept smelling them every time they walked by.
The oregano.
The chocolate mint - I can't wait to garnish desserts with this.
And my trusty helper, who sat in his swing and kicked his legs while I was in the dirt. He was quite content.
Can't wait to see how they (and I) do!

I am so very proud! (sniff, sniff)
AWESOME!!!! I've planted a few myself. Do we need to transplant ours to bigger pots? I used ones your size there, but wasn't sure about getting bigger ones.
GREAT job!
