Took a break from editing tonight and pulled these pages together from this blog post (the 12 of 12: Special Delivery Edition).
In hindsight, I am so thankful that we were blogging each day from the hospital. So much of it is a blur now, and there are details from our posts that I've already forgotten.
For the layouts, I was able to pull each of the images and words together into a 5 page spread: a cover page and three images to each subsequent page.
For the 5 page spread, here's the specs:
- The photoshop brush is from the Remember word art by Ali Edwards
- The kit is The Photo Shoot by Christy Lyle (I'm not sure it's sold online anymore) for the papers and sampled color
- The image on the right is of Thomas's NICU room (The Manatee Room), changed to black and white, and dropped in opacity to 25%, with a khaki color background.
- Font is Chaparral
- What made these layouts so incredibly simple is using the Grid No. 01 Layered Templates. I used one of them for the cover, and a second one for the 4 following pages. I rotated the canvas before beginning on several of them, to accomodate the vertical and horizontal images that I wanted to use.
