The Swearing In

In front of the capitol in Olympia

This morning, Jonathan was sworn into the Washington State Bar Association. Thanks to one of the partners in the law firm that Jonathan works for, he had a private ceremony at the Washington State Supreme Court with Chief Justice Gerry Alexander.

Guests included the attorneys and staff at his firm, and our family and friends. Chief Justice Alexander swore him in with the oath of attorney, offered words of advice, and congratulated him on all he's accomplished. He spoke to the importance of integrity, offering counsel throughout his career that would help those unable to afford representation, and the significance of his calling.

It was a true honor for me to be there today with Jonathan, and with everyone present.

A few images from today...

All I can say is "WOW!" The pics are awesome. I esp like the one w/ Justice Alexander and Jonathan standing at the door of the Temple of Justice - as if he is sending Jonathan out into the world (even tho' it was actually befor the ceremony). The only thing missing is a photo of you and Jonathan, Shelley -- but I guess you were behind the camera?!

Congratulations, Jonathan! We knew you would do it. Wish we could have been there for the swearing in but you know how it is. We seem to be out of town on all your big ones. Super awesome pictures, Shelly. It almost makes me think we were there. Thank you!
