monsignor slepicka arrived to the northwest on monday. tonight was the first time i had a chance to go out and see him. he spent all day cooking in mom and dad's new kitchen, and it was thanksgiving all over again. i was in heaven.
besides daily Mass at the house (which serves eternal food), we had roasted chicken and stuffing, potato dumplings (which rocked the house), and a pumpkin chiffon pie. all made from scratch. and my favorite riesling (not made from scratch).
so good to see him. he's coming up to our st. andrew's retreat next weekend at ft. flagler to say Mass for all of the peeps, and i can't wait. so blessed to have priests like him, and the fact that he's an uber-fabulous chef is truly the icing on the cake. :)
