a special {late} birthday wish to miss stella mobella.
i love this photo of her, though she's probably going to send me an e-hand for publishing it. :)
she turned 31 a week ago, and i missed her birthday soiree at buca di beppo's at the pope table (which now features a bust of Benedict XVI instead of JPII). her birthday makes me think back to her 30th last year, which featured my debut on karaoke. or as stella says, "car-o-kay".
stella, thank you for being such a good friend to me. these are some of my favorite things about you:
- the rainbow of paint colors you're going to use on your home - you put christopher lowell to shame.
- how you get so fired up when you see peeps corrupting the teachings of the church
- thinking of how scared i was of you, when i first met you. how you have become one of my most treasured friends. wow, was i wrong. i actually put that in print.
- how you tell it like it is. to everyone who cares. well, to anyone who will listen. or rather, everyone within 10 miles of you. whether they like it or not.
- how bendy you are. i don't know many other peeps who could touch the back of their head with their foot.
- the voice/hand combo that comes with "oh no, you didn't!"
- your freaking canadian accent! even though you are korean, you say "about" more canadian-ish than most canadians!
