happy mail

My dog's favorite part of the day is when anyone comes to the door. Doesn't matter if it's 4:30 am and the paperboy is tossing the TNT, or friends in the evening stopping by, or the mailman at 1 pm - she loves it all. And the last few days, she has loved the mailman and the UPS guy.

And I love the mailman during Christmas. I confess that I love to catch up on everyone's deets from the year, and Christmas letters make me happy. What makes me happier is that I'm not the only nut who loves their dog - I've received two Christmas letters written by the family dog, and one by a six month old. It's amazing what they are capable of! :)

Can you believe that at home, Viper got more personal mail addressed to her than I did? One was even addressed to Viper and family!

Wanted to also share the Christmas card I designed for Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Bellingham. This is the original photo that I took in February. It's kind of sweet to see how it changed in Photoshop. I took out the background, added a midnight filter and changed the sky to nighttime, added the star and signatures, and still left the cross glowing in the lower left hand corner. It went out in the mail this week to the parishoners...so I hope they like it! :)

The official card count...the Christmas gap is closing!!
21 holiday cards
18 Christmas cards

11 days until Christmas!
