"family ties are woven out of love."Every year, my family draws names. We each find an ornament for the lucky person whose name we drew, and give it to them at christmas.
This year, Mom drew me. She found the most beautiful ornament, made especially for peeps who were adopted as little wee ones, and the proceeds from the ornaments raise money for the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
And the icing on the cake? (or rather, the angel on top of the tree?) It's golden and white. Everyone knows that if it doesn't match the tree, it hangs in some other prestigious location in my home, like the bathroom. :) I love it.
The Mauss fam opened up Christmas season with the annual Christmas dinner at my home - where you squeeze a bunch of peeps into my wee little home with lots of food, presents and family times. The spread is golden and white - both on the tree and on the table. We were joined by Kris and Tim, and all my favorite blessings were around the table.
I love my family. God so incredibly blessed me when He placed me with them. And I can't wait for Christmas.
