The first giveaway to celebrate five years of this blog...and it's one for the taste buds!
The winner of today's giveaway will receive a Mini Gift Box from Penzeys - the world's most fabulous spice shop. It's a great way to try their spices if you haven't had the chance to do so yet (especially since we don't have a Penzeys here in Washington state!)...you'll get four quarter-cup jars of goodness:
In addition, I'm adding a dozen of my famous lemon white chocolate chip cookies, now with a twist for 2010: blueberries! Jonathan already asked if he was allowed to comment to win. :)
How's that for a yummy giveaway?!?
To enter, just leave a comment on this post. If you've been reading for awhile (or heck, if you haven't read for very long!), let me know how you found the blog originally. I may just take a walk down memory lane with you! :)
All comments left by 9 pm Pacific time count, and I'll draw the winner tonight.
Good luck!

Well, I first came to the blog after getting to know you in Water Aerobics & then having you photograph our amazing miracle babies! :) Love you!!!
I started reading your blog, after I FINALLY met you in person (by accident) at SeaTac right before we were getting on the delayed flight to Reno in Sept.'08...you had been talking to Doreen about the Top FUNdraiser breakout sessions and I nosed my way in to find out how YOU knew her....only to find out you were "The Shelley M - aka Shelley S"...I didn't get to talk to you much that weekend....but I was able to sit in on one of your breakout sessions and it was AMAZING...I thought to myself, "Dang, this girl is GOOD"...I'd "heard about ya, but getting to see you in "Relay Action" was pretty amazing...
I didn't realize you had a blog, and I think we both stumbled upon each other's blog when you & I had both left comments on Doreen's blog, only to discover that we BOTH loved bloggin'...the fact that you are an AWESOME photographer, well that was pretty darn cool too!
You don't need to add me to the giveaway, it was FUN to remember back to that last Leadership Trip to Reno and I kept saying "there's a reason why I'm stuck in Seattle--from Portland"...I got to say "hi" to Doreen and giver her a hug in person, I got to shake Dr. Klatt's hand and THANK HIM (and know that if our plane was late, it was OK, because I was on the same plane with Dr. Klatt and if HE was late to Summit, they weren't gonna start PaceSetter with him) and to meet YOU!!
~ Kathy
Mmmmmm! I heart spices!
I first came across your blog when you shot the engagement and wedding photos for my childhood friend, Kristina Millard-Leonard.
I loved those photos!
I started reading your blog after I said to myself.... hmmm, I like that neighbor... what the heck is a blog???? :)
I believe that was after Rake-a-paloosa....
Miss you.
I can't remember when you didn't have a blog. Is that weird? Maybe. I think one of the first posts I remember reading had pictures from the house-cooling party in your back yard of the old house- can't remember. I just know that it is easier to feel connected to you (virtually) because we live so far apart from one another. Hope you're doing well! Lindsay
I started following your blog shortly after my mom was diagnosed with Lung Cancer.
You lit a luminaria for her at a relay and it warmed my heart, I've been checking in here ever since. You inspire me.
I started reading you blog after I saw the link on Jonathan's Facebook page. I went to school with him from K-12. I kept reading because I found out from reading that you were pregnant and due around the same time I was. Our little ones are exactly a week apart.
I started reading after I was sent it by Nancy Cook...didn't realize I had actually met you in person until about a week after we met at the Fundraising Focus Groups where I was your trusty note taker! And if you every need Penzey's - we have one in Madison. Would love to send some Wisconsin love your way ;)
I don't remember how...it might have been through your hubby somehow. Since, that is how I know you afterall!
I sooo enjoy reading your blog. I love your stories, and photos!
Exciting!! :) I found your blog through Mike while working as his personal assistant...I mean, administrative assistant at the Newman center. :)
How did I find your blog? Maybe Noreen told me? All I know is I was reading it, then I ran into you at Judy Phillips' memorial and ... then you e-mailed me about some Sprouffske guy you'd met, then we joined Table 10 and then you married that Sprouffske guy. And then we had babies at the same time. Crazy, eh?
I started reading your blog on the day that I started mine back in July of 2005. I decided that I needed a few blogs to follow so I clicked the "next blog" button up at the top of the page and it landed on you! So yeah, I've never met you, live across the country from you- but I've been following for almost 5 years. Crazy, huh?! (and hopefully not too creepy!) hahaha!
I am not passing up a chance at the cookies! Yummy! I started reading your blog when we met through Relay and have been hooked every since. I especially love all the baby/kid related posts as we are working on adding our own little one to our family.
The giveaway looks fabulous! I just started reading your blog after you sent me a message on Facebook! Oh how wonderful facebook is . . . to connect old friends. I always enjoy reading it and am looking into buying a yogurt maker!
I have no idea how I found your blog. Seriously. Is that weird? But I know I have been loving it for a long time. How lucky we all are to have it. It's one of my favorite things on all the internets. As for meeting you in real life, isn't it crazy how long we have known one another? You are a powerful force for good and I am so glad to know you.
Kate gave me Penzey's baking stuff and I am in love. Also, cookies? Post-partum lady says, "Mmmmmm."
I enjoy your site very much. I love PENZEYs...when my sister was going to college in Portland we used to go by their shop all the time. Only spices to use....yummy....hope I am lucky!
You showed me your blog. Or maybe Leon told me about it. Either way it was in January right before or after we had met. Can I have some cookies now???
I started checking your blog when Lindsay's 30th birthday pictures were up. Thanks for all the updates and unique photos. Can I please have a tasty treat now? Bill
Cooking is my new favorite hobby. Thanks for the site I will have to order a few to try out. This is a fun giveaway. I can't believe you been blogging for so long. You were my first daily blog :-) ~ Marie
Through "your" eyes- the 500 day photo project... i loved looking at your pictures and learning how you did such cool effects with them... that is why I take photos as a hobby! Thanks Shelley!
Can't resist the opportunity to participate in a giveaway involving cookies!
I think Jonathan gave me the link to your blog. I love being "in the know", so when Jonathan reports that you have eggs, I can say "I know that!" Shelley is back from Iowa. "I know that!" I even checked in from Ireland to make sure I wasn't missing anything!
Well, darn....too late to win, but I wanted to tell you I'm enjoying your blog and will be back!
Warm blessings,
Spencer
