A very good day.
We finished the waiting game today.
And it feels so incredibly good.
When Thomas went in for his six-month well baby check, they discovered a growth on the back of his head. It was the only spot not completely covered in hair (oh child, someday you will hate me for your big curly mop), and had been slowly getting bigger.
We scheduled several quick followups to track the growth.
I truly love everyone at Healthy Future Peds. Their advice? Don't worry until we tell you to worry. St. Padre Pio said, "Pray, hope and don't worry. Anxiety doesn't help at all. Our Merciful Lord will listen to your prayer."
So I let all thoughts of hemangiomas, growths, or tumors leave my mind. We simply prayed for his health.
And over the next few weeks, the growth stalled and began subsiding.
This morning, Thomas and I sat in the waiting room at Healthy Future to hear the final assessment - it was all gone!
So grateful for the watchful eye of his docs, and for the peace that came with not panicking.
And happy that the Wee Ski's is a happy, healthy-headed little boy again. :)

He is so gorgeous, and I'm so thrilled he is healthy! I understand the worries that come from these things as a mother. I'm so thankful he is ok!
How are you doing? I miss checking in more!!! Love you girl!!!
I'm glad that it went away. Now you can go back to worrying about him sticking things up his nose and clumsily running with a gallon of milk he snuck out of the fridge once again. Oh wait....thats me. =)
Well, if Thomas is ever interested in learning the ropes of toddlerhood Joey could teach him a few things. =)
yeah!!! and thanks for the videos, Avila loves them and can't stop saying Tommy!
