Small Successes • Vol. 8

My eighth weekly edition of Small Successes for moms (hosted over at Faith and Family Live)...as they say, it’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph.

This week's small successes include:

  1. I managed to catch my mom in an April Fools' Day joke, AFTER she caught me in a very similar one two hours earlier! It's been years since I've been able to do that (the most notable one being in high school, when I convinced both Mom and Dad that I was getting married).
  2. I was finally able to schedule Thomas's baptism...never mind that I had to nearly corner Father after Daily Mass. ("Watch out! It's the gal with the leopard print sling...that either has a baby or a tiger in it! Run! Don't make eye contact!") Of course, after finally getting it on the calendar, we have a scheduling challenge with it...so this may end up being a success next week as well if I can get it changed.
  3. I finally got the Shoot to Fight Cancer up and running for the month of April (a raffle to benefit the American Cancer Society -- donated by my photography company, Finian Road)...hoping to raise more than the $1700 raised last year! More details here...
