On the Bus

Yesterday was a pretty fabulous day. Tax season is over. Did some great re-works of the new fundraising workshop for this fall's Leadership Summit and sent it off for review for next week's meeting in Reno. Headed to the coast for an engagement shoot. Caught up with Jackie...who told me, "You know what? You really need to update your blog more. I'm bored!"

That is the truth! I'd been thinking about it a little while...and realized that I really am missing 'something'. Digging through my photo files, I found this photo taken in September 2003. I was the founding member and el presidente of the Jackie Mattoni Fan Club, and wore her image emblazoned across my shirt. The thing I love about her is that she is always so real. I could always count on her to share exactly what she was thinking. Especially when I was chairing the Relay in '04 and '05, I could count on her to tell me where I was screwing up. :) But as Frosty says, feedback is the breakfast of champions! Her insight was invaluable to me!

It was so good to catch up with her yesterday. Afterwards, I started reading through The Energy Bus, which my fabulous gal pal Nancy recommended, and couldn't put it down. Yup, there I was, sitting in the Wal-Mart parking lot, with tears running down my face. It was a mini-epiphany moment. { More later, when I finish it. }

So thanks, Jackie.

I have a wee little new Canon to help capture the little bits of every day randomness...so for better or for worse, you'll see more of me here. :)
