of birthdays and carpet spelunking

labor day weekend. our last 'chill' weekend of the year. hard to believe, isn't it? the calm before the storm. :)

three birthdays, two dinners out, a photo shoot, a ton of wedding errands (which jonathan was super patient during - he got ice cream twice today because of it), and good r&r before the fall begins.

first off...the sunset from the lawn of jerry and sandi's house...which overlooks the tree farm. i am hopelessly addicted to sunsets. celebrated their birthdays - they are exactly the same age as my parents - which i hadn't realized.

sandi, helping the boys back up from running into the flowers... :)

and the carpet spelunking. what do you think they're doing here?

looking for a lost contact. honest to god, to the gals in the room, it was the funniest thing ever. the guys didn't appreciate the amusement - but seriously...how can you not love jerry's gear over his eyes? :)

up to celebrate liz's birthday at the cloverleaf...

my favorite goofy face by rich...

paige was much more engrossed in her game than us...

...so jonathan had to beat her with a punch ball.

with the cake she and austin made for liz...

after jonathan threw austin in the pool...

with liz knocking out her candles...

good stuff all the way around.
