this week flew by in a blur. i gave up unhappy words, and no sooner did lent start...when the temptations came! but a combination of heavenly support was there...a few fabulous dinners with very special people, prayers offered and sacrifices made, and stations of the cross were had.
and here's a very valuable piece of advice, you don't even have to pay for it:
do not drink a lemon drop before going to stations.as you need to kneel 31 times over the course of 30 minutes, you will be regretting the fabulous taste. :)
i finally had a few spare moments last night, and i spent them designing web banners and coding the relay for life site. things are coming along well, and i launched the team resources page last night. there's some great finds in there - especially for new teams. the first run of banners are below (the top one is about a week old), and the top two are live right now. you can click right on the photo, and it will take you to the page.
photos in the first-run banners are as follows:
happy survivors - taken relay 2005 by brandon sawaya, from the stage that michael g dreamed up
team-o supreme-o - taken relay 2004 by me, a fabulous youth team that goes the extra mile
sponsorship - taken relay 2004 by nancy peck, survivor medals in a basket by kathi kershul
cancer survivors - another image from the same "happy survivors" photo above
what to expect - taken relay 2005 by brandon, "hope at night" during luminaria
and one last thing, if you want to read something super fabulously funny...you better gizoogle it. the site will translate any site you want into snoop dogg lingo. beware if you have sensitive g-rated eyes. :)
this is viper's world, or rather, vipa's world - gizoogle style!
