Mt. Angel's Oktoberfest
What a great night. It was so much fun to be back in Mt. Angel - and especially with the gang we were with. We ran into all kinds of people, including a few former teens from our Life Teen programs, and met a ton of people. While we were on the search for my flowers, the skies opened up and dumped tons of rain on us. We ran for cover under the big tents, and it was one of the first times in my life I'd wished I hadn't worn flip flops. :)
After our first round of dessert, we finally reached the weingarten. It was packed with what seemed like thousands of people. Saw and met a lot of Mike's old friends from seminary, and heard some of the funniest seminarian stories ever. And it's probably the only time in my whole life that I will be able to say "I did the chicken dance with Brother Claude".
David was the world's best 'tour guide' and an awesome host. I can't wait for the holy lands next spring with him!
If you have a few moments, it's a pretty cool slideshow of last night...
