The summer is so beautiful on Puget Sound. We had a steak and crab feast (Papa Bear and Big K definitely know how to BBQ!) and spent a few hours on the boat with the Babbitts (+ a Lewis), Lougheeds, and the Duncans (with an RCS added in there)...
I just love shooting with my digital Rebel. That love almost came to a quick end when I ever-so-gracefully slid and wiped out on the wet deck, sending my beloved Rebel tumbling down the stairs on the deck. I literally heard every time it cracked and bounced on the stairs...Viper was screaming and shaking, I was flat on my bum, and I'm worried about my camera. Not surprising, huh? :) A big thanks to Kris, who took off after the camera for me. And God bless Advil.
The wee munchkins that were there tonight are so incredibly photogenic, it made taking good photos unbelievably easy. A few of my faves are below...

What a wonderful afternoon and evening so graciously hosted by the Mauss family. The Babbitts (+ a Lewis) had a great time and enjoyed the view, the food, and especially the company. Thank you so much for the opportunity to get together and "bond". Some of us needed more help bonding than others. I believe the term Mr. Mauss used was "making out". Who could he have been describing? I hope Shelley's bum is feeling better after her graceful spill out the side door. Those very expensive door mats can be tricky. Now aren't you glad your Mom through out the left over vodka drink? Imagine the damage if you had been ever so slightly intoxicated!
